Madison Summer Choir

The Madison Summer Choir is an 80-voice, auditioned choir and does a cappella, piano accompanied, and large orchestral works. We are not a UW Madison Choir, but rather a UW Madison Student Organization comprised of students and community members. We are proud to be in our fourth year and running!

UW School of Music budget cuts in 2008 meant the end for UW Summer Choir. As a result, our director formed Madison Summer Choir as a new student/community summer singing ensemble to make sure such an opportunity and tradition was not lost.

Please help keep the tradition alive in this day of cuts to the arts and join the choir or come to our concert!

Madison Summer ChoirThe group is open to students and community members (see How to Join). For 2012 we will generally rehearse Mondays and Tuesdays, 5:15-7:15 pm, May 21st through the end of June, in the UW Humanities Building (choir room) on the UW-Madison campus. (For full details including holidays and extra rehearsals, please see the Members' Area.)

* It has been our mission to keep our concerts free and open to the public, however, we are charging a small ticket price this summer to cover the costs related to our new venue, First Congregational Church UCC.
